Indonesia-Japan Tax Society

―Seeking a smoother tax practice between both countries by collaborating with the Indonesian tax authority―

Establishment of "Indonesia-Japan Tax Society"

On February 28, 2018, in Jakarta, the establishment of "Indonesia-Japan Tax Society" was determined following the consent of the Indonesia Ministry of Finance Directorate General as well as the executives of the Directorate General of Tax (DGT), who have been contributing to the tax interaction between Japan and Indonesia for years.

The society is mainly operated by those who were involved in the interaction between Japan and Indonesia within the respective tax authorities. We act with an aim to smooth over the tax interaction between Indonesia and Japan, to smooth over the tax practices in Indonesia, as well as to contribute to the development of tax administration in Indonesia. In concrete terms, we arrange regular and periodic seminars by Indonesia DGT executives, speeches and opinion exchange sessions held in Indonesia and Japan, along with co-research with Indonesia DGT on international taxation issues within Indonesia.

What we do

We established the Society to contribute to greater friendship and a better relationship between Indonesia and Japan in tax.
